Settling in !

by Kazu

I am so sorry for absence of the Korean beauties in the photos. But the original purpose of blog site is to introduce the beautiful sceneries of Hokkaido and deliver the information on Hokkaido to the expats in Hokkaido and people  in the other parts on this globe.
After enjoying enough the scenery and the works of collaboration among a variety of objects, we joined my wife and had Japanese "Sukiyaki" and "Shabu-Shabu".
It was first time for the beauties of Korea to have raw eggs with beef, veggies and soy-beans curd boild with the soup made from soy-sauce and broth. But they seemed to be so satisfied and moved by the Japanese culinary delights.

Where are the Korean Beauties ?

Besides, please do not forget the beauty of Sapporo City itself. The scenery from the peak of Mt. Moiwa was so nice with the sunshine from the west. Setting sun gave the landscape a special effects too.
The shade of the peak was on the hillside of the mountain and the contrast of the sky, city, green of the hillside abd the vague border was so nice to see.
Depopulation and aging population are the challenges facing our society. Please live in Hokkaido as the top of tops ancesters of Korea, China and other countries decided so many decades ago.

Korean Beauties Conquered Hokkaido 2 !

It was so tough to see the direction of the on that day. The setting sun gave us so nice effects to see the photos of Korean beauties. I was wondering how did I seen in that situation from the tourists and the citizen of Sapporo City.
Models and cameraman ? Weird advocate for the beauties ? I am not sure but every males passing by us looked back to check again what grabbed their attention.
It wa so beautiful and wonderful day to receive them and take the photos of the mixture of the beauties of nature, artificial products and human beings. Even the landscape of the city was shining with the beauties from Kaore.

Korean Beauties Conquered Hokkaido!

My wife and I were very happy to have two Korean girls who would play the important role as volunteer interpreters in "PyeongChang 2018". Yes! The 2018 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXIII Olympic Winter Games (French: Les XXIIIeme Jeux olympiques d'hiver; Hangul평창 동계 올림픽; RRPyeongchang Donggye Ollimpik), and commonly known as PyeongChang 2018
I hope and believe that they will be quite assets for the organizer of the exciting event and Korea itself. After the encounter of us, I took them to Lake Shikotsu near Sapporo City. It takes appr. one hour to drive from the downtown of Sapporo city to the lake.
After taking photos at Poropinai area on the lakeside, we dropped by Mt. Moiwa from where the overview of the city can be seen, on our way back to Sapporo City. My wife and I have no kids, so everytime we receive young Korean girls, we feel as if our daughters come back from their place to live and work.

Next Lookout in Tokachi !

by Kazu

The scenery from the windshield of my car was getting greener as we proceeded. As if the road was inviting me to another world.
I am getting closer to the Lake Shikaribetsu.  A hot spring spa is beyond this forest and hill. This area seemed to be called "Ougi-ga-hara" and this is one of my favorite area in Hokkaido.
The straight road led us to the place of healing and energizing. I have been dreaming to stay this area for a week but that has not been made a real.

On the go !

The skyline of the distanced mountains was shining and the veggie fields were showing its power and potential on that day.
I went through the tunnel that connected the areas
on both sides of Hidaka Mountainous area.
This is the highland where huge-scale farmers had made up the soil for quality veggies. Many years ago, these area was devastated by the landslide and sulfur contained in the soil that came down from the hillside of Mt. TOKACHI.

Tokachi Plain !

During my wife's business jaunt to Tokyo (? I was not sure the precise destination of her jaunt at that time), I headed to one of my favorite hot spring area in Hokkaido.
After going highway to Shimizu Town in Tkachi Sub-prefectural Area, I went up the hillside to reach Lake Shikaribetsu.
On the way to the lake from the plain of Shimizu Town, there was a lookout to savor enough the panorama view of the plain and distanced mountains.

Go East !

Have you ever been to Obihiro City in Tokachi area ? Some national routes to the city were devastated by the heavy rain fall last year.

This highway is available even now. You can enjoy enough the typical scenery of Hokkaido even from this highway.
But near the residential area, such kind of higher walls are required to keep the privacy of the residents.

From the plain to the mountain !

Every time my wife leave Sapporo for her business jaunt, I contemplate what is the best thing to do during her absence.
I think I should do what I can not do when my wife is beside myself, but as long as I could, I used to avoid to drive our car without her.
But something invited me to the place where I had visited before that time. I went up the hillside to Lake Shikaribetsu in Tokachi Area and dropped by the lookout to see the Tokachi Plain.

Usually, I do not take such photos from the inside of the windshield because it may be dangerous to do such thing without pulling over.

The highway to Tokachi Area of Hokkaido leads to Obihiro and is extended to the east end of the island.
You can use the highway for free of charge from the east of Chitose City. If the width of the highway is expanded, toll fee may be required.
